How to transfer files to an Android phone or tablet?

Imagine that your device’s internal memory is full and you need to free it urgently. If you do not want to delete files or folders, you can transfer some of them to a memory card. The transfer itself will be similar to the case with the transfer of photos to a memory card. We draw your attention to the fact that in this way it will not work to transfer installed applications – only files and folders.

First of all, you will need a file manager. We use ES Explorer, you can use any other, including installed on your device.

We start the file manager and select the section. We have two sections: the internal memory of the device and the memory card. If you need to transfer files from the main memory to the memory card, then you need to go to the main memory section.

Have you entered the section? Great. Let’s say you need to transfer the music folder. Select the Music folder, tap on it and hold it until a checkmark appears on the folder. Then click on the “Copy” or “Cut” button, depending on what you need to do.

The next step, go to the section of the memory card and click on the button “Insert”.

File transfer occurs, this may take some time..

Voila, the folder has been moved.

In exactly the same way, you can transfer any other file or folder (except for installed applications). As you can see, nothing complicated.
